RTT Receives Top Honors at National Conference
Rebuilding Together Tulsa received two top honors at the Rebuilding Together National Conference in New Orleans, LA this past weekend.
Tulsa resident, Kelly Hall, was named National Volunteer of the Year, and the Rebuilding Together Tulsa affiliate was honored with the Spread the Spirit Award.
The National "Of the Year" Awards recognize service, excellence, leadership and innovation to promote the Rebuilding Together mission and impact the community. Nominations are accepted from the 200 affiliates throughout the country, and recipients are selected
by the National Organizational Development Committee.
In the category of Volunteer of the Year, Kelly Hall won for her time dedicated as a volunteer intern for Rebuilding Together Tulsa. As a volunteer, Kelly impacted the Tulsa community by increasing the visibility of Rebuilding Together Tulsa. She has directly impacted the number of volunteers and partners in the community that can help fulfill the mission to bring volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners.
The Spread the Spirit Award is awarded annually at the Rebuilding Together National Conference and showcases photos from the 200 Rebuilding Together affiliates that best display the spirit and mission of the organization. The award was presented to one photo in each of the following five categories: Volunteer Activity, Homeowner, Heavy Work, Individual Experience, and Rebuilding Together Experience. The top five photos in each category were showcased on the Rebuilding Together Facebook page. The photo with the most “likes” on Facebook in each category was given an award at the Rebuilding Together National Conference.
Rebuilding Together Tulsa’s photo was awarded the Spread the Spirit Award in the Rebuilding Together Experience category.
